Michael Jackson is a twit. the unique question in in errors - Lennon & McCartney have been screwed via their music writer, Dick James into advertising their songs. keep in mind this replaced into 1963, and no person concept those songs could nonetheless be around just about fifty years later. No songwriter immediately could sign a deal like that. At any fee, the business organisation the songs have been "bought" to (Northern Songs) replaced into on the London inventory replace, however the Beatles themselves owned great chunks of the inventory. In 1969, Dick James replaced into uninterested with the band's probably 'druggy' life-type, and acquired his majority interest to Lew Grade (ITV), with out offering the shares to the band first. so as that they had no threat to purchase their very own songs. some years later, Grade bought the shares, and Jacko gained the bidding conflict. No songs from different bands have been in touch. McCartney already owns many human beings's songs, which comprise chum Holly, and standards like "Autumn Leaves". i ask your self how each and all of the Jacko followers could sense if the shoe replaced into on the different foot, and McCartney owned "Billie Jean" and "secret"? At any fee, Jacko bought maximum of his interest in the songs to Sony some years in the past to finance his degenerate life-type.

first of all,any body who says that has absolutely no idea what they are talking about because they have no direct evidence to support their claims.these are probably the people who think that elvis is alive and well and living in hawaii.now as to the whole mj/beatles catalog thing, here's the truth:when he bought the catalog in 1985 this is what he acquired:all the songs that lennon and mccartney wrote and recorded for the beatles from 1963 to 1969,all the songs that lennon and mccartney wrote for other artists from 1963 to 1971,all their solo work till 1971(lennon and mccartney were under contract to northern songs till 1971),all the songs that george wrote for the beatles from 1963 to 1967,plus all of elton john's early songs he wrote with bernie taupin from 1967 to 1973(he was a staff songwriter for northern),it was the whole northern songs catalog that mj bought in 1985,this doesn't include the 2 songs that ringo wrote for the beatles, whatever songs george wrote and/or recorded after 1967,nor does it include the 1st 4 beatles songs they released in the uk(those are owned by paul).in either 1994 or 1995,mj merged his atv catalog with sony, thus giving mj a stake in sony's song catalog and needed cash to pay his legal bills and it gave sony 1/2 of the atv catalog.about 2 or 3 years ago,in exchange for a 300 million dollar loan, sony was given the right to acquire 1/2 of mj's stake in the atv catalog, thus his estate only owns 25%.hope this clears things up for you!

they wanted to kill him for his music a long time ago in the 80's he bought the beatles catalog that was up for auction when paul McCartney joked around and said you should buy it. when mj bought it paul got very mad and ended their friendship. well you know how many hits the beatles and mj have combined?? about a million!! well i think that whoever owns the songs gets the money if you dont have the songs no money. hope this helps

Owning a music catalog means that you are now receiving the royalties that this music generates.

And people have been murdered over less...

michael jackson said it himself, that someone was out to get him for it.

it means that he has all the publishing rights to their songs, and whenever a song is played, he gets the money off it. basically, he owns their songs.
