You betcha! I've heard that many Christian churches and other fundie organizations put out on their websites messages to vote on AI for Kris or Danny even IF YOU DON'T WATCH AMERICAN IDOL. They clearly did not want to see a gay Jewish guy win American Idol. So THEY fixed it. Not the show itself, but the groups around the lesser of the final three. Little star crossed girls and fundies.



Oh, well. My bad, because I KNEW this was going to happen and I live in Vegas and I could have bet on that one and won tons of cash.

Probably not. Many GLBT artists are loved by all for their ability and not their orientation (Elton, KD, Freddie, Prince ha). Many gay men are huge fans of Toby Keith. Adam just peaked too early while Kris steadily improved each week. I found Adam very likable, genuine, and an incredibly talented vocalist. Same with Kris yet Kris competently played musical instruments (acoustic/electric guitars and keyboards) in a comfortable, natural way which IMHO powerfully enhanced his performances and artistic credibility. It is a singing competition, but much emphasis is given to stage presence with or without instruments. Hey, a mic stand is a prop. I really liked another blog which stated they thought Adam more of a World Idol, no? Garth Brooks is an American Icon. Freddie Mercury was (is) a World Icon. Elvis is both and Adam may turn out to be the next one. But Kris was my AI choice when only 4 remained.



One other thing: What in the hell was Ford and AI thinking with cheap-assed Fusion Hybrids. I would have given Adam a Shelby GT500 Mustang and Kris a H-D F250 pickup. After Wednesday, I can really can't imagine them driving around in gas-sipping, socially conscientious 4 door sedans.



One additional other thing: One phone, one vote. I don't vote, because it doesn't mean a thing if some squealing 10 year old calls in 150 times or some hacker comes up with a way to spoof the system and sends in a million votes. OMG. What if ... there is a protest and a recount? Don't be surprised if something is contrived to assure continued success of the program and FOXXXXXX.

Did anyone notice that we, the audience were not told how much Chris won by??? Perhaps, he did not win at all is my guess. I am sure that Adam had many offers on the table before the contest end. In my opinion, I believe that Adam Lambert is in the process of accepting a recording contract from someone other than American Idol and so he "gave" the title to Kriss. Kriss does have talent especially when he showed us that he can play both piano and guitar. He is an all around nice guy with talent who would benefit more from American molding him into a star. Adam, doesn't need that molding. He is there! Adam totally blew me away with his vocal range and the fact that he can sing anything from a ballad to heavy metal. His stage presence as well is amazing. He has the whole package. Also, when Kriss' name was announced as the winner, Adam was ready to hug him as if he knew something, which was definitely kept from Kriss. Wait and see. Adam will have an album soon.

Adam is definitely gay. It's pretty much impossible for him not to be. Buy anyhow, Kris did not win just because Adam is gay. Kris is a good singer and I'm sure that if Adam didn't scream during every song, he could have won. Also, when Danny Gokey got voted off, all of the votes that should have gone to him because he should hvae been in the final, went to Kris. Because of that, Kris probably won by a lot.

American Idol, Freemantle, & Fox TV is protecting its marketing strategy aimed at middle american children & teeny boppers, which promotes straight & narrow family values regardless of the amount of talent a contestant has. Adam Lambert clearly has the most talent of anyone this season, but diversity is evidently not what the shows producers are capable of selling or promoting in red neck places like Arkansas & the like. They took the safe way around the issue in order to stay successful & make money off the homophobic breeder population. The call in voting system is a device used to pull you in & make you think you can help decide the results of the show. In the end, its all in the name of entertainment & does not have to be true in order to be entertaining. I think Adam made it to first runner up because Simon was extremely supportive of Adam & recognizes talent when he hears it. No one has mentioned that when Kris won that Randy & Kara were applauding with a standing ovation & Simon & Paula remained in their seats shocked at the results. Adam will have a long recording career ahead of him & Kris will fade & fizzle like Rueben Studdard & Taylor Hicks did from lack of sales. I am sick of the American Idol LIES & am done watching the show for good.

Adam is as gay as gay gets!!!! There are pictures of him all over the internet of him kissing and making out with other men, last time I checked that made you gay. However, that is not why Kris Allen won American Idol! People that say it is, are only mad bc Kris won, and Adam didnt. Get over it! America Voted!!

Yes...and no. People have been saying that Adam is gay, but he has good vocals. And Kris is a really good singer, and that's why he won. Adam's gayness most likely didn't have anything to do with the vote, but there is a chance that some of the gayness caused the votes to slip.

I heard that Kris Allen's preist or pastor or watever was spreading rumors that Adam was gay and that it was against the Lord's ways and he shouldn't win or something.

Why does everyone think Adam Lambert is Gay!!!!!!! what if he's not.... i don't think they are allowed to talk to other reporters until they are off the show so he hasn't been able to stand up for himself and he hasn't came out with it so why would everyone assume so? and American Idol is a pop competition so i think he wasn't performing for people who like his music even though everyone i talk to loved adam... i don't really understand why he didn't win but i don't think it was because he is "gay" which he might not be

In short, yes. Kris is more marketable since he is straight, cute, white and married.



Adam may have been more talented, but he is openly gay, a drag queen, and if he had won, he would have totally eclipsed Kris in popularity and Idol would only get one record deal instead of two (one from each of them).

I don't know if Adam is or not. But in my personal opinion, I think that Danny's fans voted for Kris because he is closer in style than Adam. I think that affected the vote.
