Aren't you tired of seeing Johnny Depp playing always the same movies and roles?

By now he only does movies and sequels for disney. He will shoot 2 sequels for the pirates of carribean, he will shoot 2 sequel for the lone ranger and he will even shoot the sequel of alice in wonderland. Don't forget that he will also shoot into the woods for disney this year, so we really won't see him in any good project for long. He's the king of commercial cinema by now. Does he need so much money that he can't say no to such commercial and mediocre proposals??

He doesn't do a decent movie since several years. He always makes the clown in his movies and he can't act serious or in a normal role anymore. He can neither act anymore without pounds and pounds of makeup on his face. I'm still praying that he renounces to film into the woods because he will touch the bottom if he films it.

Movie like blow and the libertine are only memories by now 'cause Depp only accepts commercial projects for money. Once he was versatile and he couldn't be link to any kind of role because he really never used to take standard roles, but now he's doing it. He always does the same things in movies, always these stupid or eccentric characters with full make-up. So boring by now and the proof that people got tired of his disney characters that are all the same is that the lone ranger has been a failure to the box office. People are over of his disney characters, so why doesn't he understand it and decide once for all of stopping with them? Why he doesn't say no to disney? Nobody forces him to be a commercial actor, but he's probably interested more in money than in good roles and movies. Isn't he rich enough??? Can't believe he still need money for "his children"..... they are one of the richest family of this earth and he has still the courage of telling that he accepts the money only for them??? So pathetic and false.... he also likes the money more than he can like a good quality cinema.

Once I adore him but now I'm done with his silly characters and his silly disney movies. Depp can only play characters that have something in common with him. He can't play normal people who don't have anything in common with him, so he's not this good actor. He's over rated because there a lot of better actor than him who can play also characters who don't have anything in common with them like Al Pacino, Russell Crowe, Leonardo Di Caprio.....
Depp should only do tv shows where he can play as much as he wants the clown because cinema is another thing.

What do you thionk about it? Are you happy about the fact that Depp will be engaged only with disney movies and sequels during next years? Are you happy that he doesn't do a good movie since long and that he always plays similar characters?

Maybe he is afraid he won't be able to look so great in different kind of movies.

I'm sure he wonders the same thing. A lot of times (Disney especially) companies lock actors into several year contracts, so they're stuck doing a project and it's sequels. Also, there's a little thing called typecasting that directors love to do where they cast a production by picking actors who are good at playing whatever type the character is (Ex: Rachel McAdams as the lead in every RomCom out there, Leonardo DiCaprio as the mysterious stud in every movie ever, Kristin Chenoweth as the over-the-top blonde in every show).

I'm not sick of him, per se, but I did like him in Platoon and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. People get bored of him because he doesn't have any good roles in his movies. That's what I thought of Willem Dafoe, I went off him for 8 years because of his roles in his films and also, because he was just plain evil but now I kinda like that in an actor

He reached his 50th birthday -- he is also recently divorced -- I don't think this is a time in his life when he will be offered a lot of "young" roles -- maybe you are missing some of his credits as far as a Producer or a financial backer

Yes i do , That's why al his recent movies flopped , He's just very expensive eye candy for the Lady's, He never was or is a good Actor . ( In my oponion )

He is in contract with the pirates movies. He's has to be in them or else there is no pirates of the Caribbean.
