Sir Ringo Starr was just very recently Knighted.

All 4 were made MBE's.....(Member's of the Order of the British Empire) in 1965.......but Lennon, in one of his stuck up, self pretentious acts.......returned his in 1969......and said he didn't want it.

Surely no further honors for him were forthcoming after that.

McCartney was knighted in 1997.......for services to the Music world in general.........

and Harrison died just 4 years later, in 2001........before any such Honor might have fallen his way.

Ringo only just now, got his......20 years later.

Doubtful Lennon would have ever been so honored, since he snubbed the MBE title awarded earlier.

Ringo Starr's selection for knighthood in late 2017 made him the most recent Beatle to earn the honor

George Harrison and John Lennon, meanwhile, remain among the un-knighted — and they're likely to stay that way, thanks to the current rules for knighthood, which state that a recipient must be alive to accept the honor.

He was the only one. There is no benefit to becoming a Knight other than bragging rights.

they actually just recently announced that ringo is to be knighted. i don't know when the ceremony is.

all 4 were given some title short of knight back in the 60s, forgive me that i don't know what it was specifically. member of the order of the british empire or something like that.

there are no benefits or duties to the title these days, it is like being given the key to the city or an honorary doctorate.
