Question:
Why are fans disappointed if an actor/actress ignores them?
2009-08-22 06:00:37 UTC
Don't they know that the actor/actress is human too and has needs too? Don't they know that celebrities aren't always in the mood to talk to fans?

This person got mad at Jeffrey Donovan who plays Burn Notice because he wouldn't say hi to his fan! Come on it was hot and it was on the day of the season finale and the guards himself said "Jeffrey's in a bad mood"

Judging by her name I'm guessing she's a girl.

All I know is that people can get pretty stupid about actors, confusing them with their characters and not understanding that they're just one of thousands of people who like that actor. It's sad.

Years ago Jane Seymour played a doctor in the 1870s or 1880s. People stopped her on the street all the time and asked her for medical advice. It was bad enough that people thought she was a real doctor, but they seemed to think that a doctor in 1880 knew as much as doctors today.

I once went to a Star Trek convention (shut up!) where an adult started to question John DeLancie about the Star Trek universe. DeLancie shut the guy down quick by explaining that he knows nothing about Star Trek and cares nothing about Star Trek. He was just on 4 episodes of the show, and all he cared about was reading his lines and hitting his marks. The audience was stunned that DeLancie wasn't totally into everything Trek.

I think it is funny when that happens.

People idolize others way too much.

Wake up people, actors are just people too, just like athletes.

Whats funnier is those high profile people are making billions of dollars for preforming basic human functions.

Acting and sports are a joke. Any one can speak, anyone can play games.

I will give credit where due and that would be to singers.

Not every one has the pipes.

The instrument players not, anyone can learn to play an instrument.

And to your statement about actors needs; They get paid damn well and I personally think they gave up a lot of their personal rights when they decided to become performers.

It is the general public who supports these entertainers with their hard earned money, with out them these selfish, over paid, materialistic douche bags would not be where they are today.

As far as I am concerned these people sold out their personal rights of privacy the moment they began receiving money.

If they do not like their privacy being invaded maybe they should give up their so called profession and all their money.

Yeah, I do it each and every of the time. i like the pastime first and the Yankees 2nd. and you're appropriate, that baby pitched a good pastime for the Royals immediately. each time a team loses a million-0 or 2-0, you are able to no longer blame the commencing pitcher for the loss. that's why i think of win/loss archives for pitchers is puffed up. the reality that the Royals cut up a 4 pastime series against the Yankees shows how close the final and the worst in baseball relatively are.

once i was hanging around the back of a show and the 2 guys in the band ran out of the place and got into a ford rental car. i wouldn't have been disappointed if they had just ignored me, but i waved at them and they stepped on the gas and tried to run me down. i had to jump out of the way, diving onto the parking lot pavement so as not to get hit. that was much cooler than if they just ignored me.
