Ok...so I was just thinking. Some people are bashing me saying that I'm a fake fan and jumping on the bandwagon just because I became a fan after Michael Jackson passed on. Now...this just doesn't make sense to me. If he isn't allowed to have any new fans...how do you expect his musical legacy to live on?? Any fans he accumulates now...will be called FAKE fans because he's dead right? Any fans that became fans only after a star has died are considered fake? Really...if he doesn't get any news fans after his death....then his legacy will die with his current fans.....I'm just saying....Can you all explain to me this (I'm talking to those who claim that all of us new fans are fake and are going with the trend)? Thanks!

A lot of people became a new fan or a bigger fan after his death. I think the reason is because no one expected him to die so young. We all thought he would be around a lot longer. It was a BIG shock to all of us. I never called you or anyone else a fake MJ fan and I never will. It doesn't matter to me when you became a fan. I've been a fan for over 40 years and I'll still accept the new ones.

I only read the first sentence and I'm going to say this. You don't need to prove anything to anyone. If you truly love Michael Jackson, that's good. You've got nothing to prove to anyone! This is the freakin' internet for cryin' out loud! It doesn't matter. You don't need acceptance to feel worthy or whatever it is you seem to be searching for. You are a fan. Period. It's better late than never. End of story. It's no ones business anyway!



A fake fan is someone that talked smack about MJ when he was alive and then all of a sudden flipped and cried when he died.

A new fan is someone that just recently became a fan.

A bandwagoner is someone that had never really paid attention to MJ until he died, saw all these people crying over him and decided to join in to see what all the fuss was about. They listened to his music for a while, then got over it and moved on to the lastest current artist cough cough Lady Gaga cough or cough cough Justin Bieber cough.



You are a real fan if you truly like MJ's music. Case closed. You don't need a validation from me or anyone else. Okay?

Ignore those idiots. I dont care if you're a new fan, an old fan, whatever. People assume just because im a teenager that im not a true MJ fan, which is bull. What really matters is that you love MJ, and that you'd never make fun of him and you realize how much of an amazing person he was. Personally, i think all the people that were saying they like MJ just for a little while to seem nice because he died, i think they're long gone. If you're a real MJ fan, you'll be a fan for life, regardless of what anyone has to say. Thats how i feel about it.

To use real fans or old fans who loved him before he died. We love that new people or younger people can see how talented he was and his kind heart. I feel if you love MJ now and into his music your no less of a fan than I am. All the old fans should be happy to see all the new fans flock together and celebrate MJ's music and legacy. I do and I am very happy to see all the new fans. I accept you just like you were here all along.

I know how you feel because I actually became an MJ fan after he passed away. It doesn't mean any sense to me either. I think it doesn't matter if you became a fan after he died. The only thing that is important is that you became a fan and that you release how awesome he is. And those people who are saying that you are FAKE, just ignore them... they don't understand and they are just Stupid people... Ignore what they say and just keep on been a fan...

don't worry about what others are thinking of you. it doesn't matter when you became a fan or what not. the fact is, you became a huge fan of MJ and that's that. i'm very happy to see lots of new people loving and respecting MJ now compared to before. before, people would look down on him because of the trials. it's very unfortunate that he had to die in order for people to realize that no matter what he was accused of, his music was just phenomenal. i've been a huge fan of MJ since i was a little girl, but i thought i'd say that i'm very happy that you became a big MJ fan. now, you can help spread his legacy throughout the generations, which makes me happy that he'll never be forgotten, thanks to all of these new fans <3

I get annoyed with that too. I was a fan before he died but I don't get why people do that to the new fans! I totally agree with you on if he didn't have any new fans his legacy wont live on. Amen to that lol. I accept all the new fans except the ones ,before he died, teased him about his appearance and through his court battles, etc. It pizzez meh off >.<. I think people are just doing that to make his new fans not like him anymore so his legacy can die off.
