Well, the more hardcore fans like me and some of my friends on here love Michael for more than just his music.....like you all say, "Oh his music was alright but COME ON...." I love Michael for his humanitarian heart first and foremost, and his singing and dancing come second. And if I do go crazy, it's because I'm terribly upset of the injustice that this wonderful man suffered at the hands of despicable people who were just out to get him for his money, and for their own 15 minutes of fame. Stuff like that happens to the richest of celebrities, Michael wasn't the only one targeted....
Plus, it rips at my heartstrings to know that Michael's three children will grow up without their father....indeed, children all over the world do lose their fathers every day, but either way, it's still heartrendingly sad to hear about it happening to anyone. I choked on my own breath when I first heard about how, a few days after Michael's death, Blanket was asking where his daddy was, and his family just had to tell him that Michael was only on vacation.....just on a vacation....
I truly care about Michael as a person, though I admit I've never met him personally nor am I related to him in any other way besides the fact that we're both members of the human family (and that's enough for me to feel a reasonable connection to him). I respect the fact that Michael's family is hurting in ways that I as a mere fan cannot even fathom, and I promised myself not to cry a single tear more than Paris, Prince or Blanket would, because I respect them and their loss.
In my defense, and in defense of my MJ Family as a whole (whom I love very much), we're not crazy. We've just lost someone who meant a lot to us in our lives, no matter how distant he was from us. We don't view him as a god; I personally love him for his thorough humanity, for his flaws and his own demons that he fought against so hard. I'm an atheist, I don't worship anything or anyone; my sole inspirations all come from my fellow human beings, which definitely includes Michael Jackson.
