Seems it freaks most people out, I can't figure out why though.

I thought you meant Al Gore. I am a fan of your "gore" if it "fits" with what is happening in the movie. If it is just gore for gore's sake, than I am not into it. I would rather have a story that is scary not a bunch of tomato paste on the actors.

i think its simple curiosity. also if people are extremely angry it may be a way of releasing anger. Also it makes you feel lucky you are alive since they are dead and you are not. Its the dark side of human nature. although i was a little freaked out by the 'saw' movies. I was also extremely disturbed when it said on the news about that poor girl nikki catsouras who was in a car accident and was left completely mutilated and decapitated and sick people posted crime scene photos on the internet and to her family of her mutilated body. I think those people are sick and i don't understand how people could exploit a tragic situation like that.
