Beth Ostrosky Stern has been married to the famous Shock Jock and now judge on America's Got Talent for 11 or 12 years depending on who tells the story. She seems to be a devoted wife, and humanitarian based on her work with reputable animal charities. Beth apparently gave up a successful modeling career to devote herself to Mr. Stern. She is seen devotedly at Howard's side and brightens his Sirius Satellite program with her presence and insight.

Yet, there are people on Stern fan-related forums and in other newsgroups who despise her, call her a phony, a gold-digger and assert that the only reason she married someone as homely as Howard is due to his money and celebrity connections. They claim Howard Stern's daughters mock and hate her. From what I see she has established loving warm homes for Howard in his west side Manhattan duplex and his multi-chimneyed Hamptons mansion with a 2 lane bowling alley. She seems like the kind of beautiful, sincere, faithful knockout of a wife anyone would desire.

I don't get it. Can anyone shed some light on the abuse and disrespect heaped on her?

I think people are just jealous because she is stunningly, naturally beautiful, super-duper famous, is married to an amaaaazingly rich man, has beautiful homes in Manhattan and the Hamptons, and is just an incredibly nice, genuine, down to earth person who never wanted to be famous!

Well, I suppose if there was more information as to what constitutes a 'successful' model, I would understand the question better. If having a handful of hair and catalog print ads and bit movie parts is successful, then I would say Beth Ostrosky Stern was a successful model and some jealous people might harbor animosity towards her. I wish I knew how she could live a Manhattan lifestyle on that body of work? She must have been very frugal. However, there does seem to be a lack of evidence to substantiate the claim that she modelled in Europe for four years, and some detractors say she really hasn't had a magazine cover or job in many years that wasn't obtained through her husbands connections. I guess we would need more information to really understand why some people are so acrimonious. I, for one, am entertained by Beth Ostrosky Stern's ability to keep reinventing herself.

Beth Ostrosky is desperate to be famous and that is very annoying since she has little if any talent at anything. Her husband Howard Stern made a movie about his love for his first wife Alison, and then when the movie came out in 1997 he got a divorce. You can't believe anything Howard Stern or Beth Ostrosky say. All they do is promote themselves for personal gain. Beth ruined the Howard Stern show since Howard never stops promoting her on his show- just like Don Imus promoted his wife Deirdre. Howard always used to make fun of Don Imus promoting his wife, but Howard does the same thing. Howard's former fans are upset about how bad the show is now and Howard calls the former fans obscene names and calls them HATERS because they speak the truth. Howard wants America to love him on his new NBC TV show judging job, but I think that mainstream America will not believe that Howard is a good guy- judging by how mean and nasty he was in the past.

There are many reasons that this may be a problem for Beth. She does not help her image by, as was stated above, that she never wanted to be famous, but cannot get out of the way of a camera. This occurs inside her own home as well, so one would think it would be easy to avoid them there. She is a spokesperson for what is known as one of the worse animal charities (look it up) and uses the cutest pups and kittens as photo ops, complete with perfect hair, makeup and clothes (on her, not the pups and kittens). If there were (un-phtoshopped) pictures of her helping clean a feces covered dog or a flea infested cat (not in the above mentioned perfect hair, makeup and clothes) one would think she may actually be helping these creatures in their time of need, not holding them aloft and forcing then to stay in her grasp. She continues to show up on cable channel shows (remember, she does not want to be famous) with a voice and camera presence that needs profesional guidence. This would make you think that her husband is influencing certain people to take her on, per her request, which would lead to the aforemention ill will towards her. A certain NY newspaper will put little blurbs in about her and her animal "rescues" that no one would know about except if a phone call was made (there is a link with the husband's agent and the newspaper) and some would feel like she is being forced onto the public since she is not generally well liked. Ever since Howard has been with Beth, his Show has suffered - especially during the Sirius years. Sadly, Howard Stern has morphed into the person he he used to ride and make fun of during his heyday. Howard used to torture Imus for involving his wife in everything, to the point of making a career for her.



While Beth was a model, no one really knew who she was until she hooked up with Howard and she basically has built her current career on his back.



Rather than point out the foibles and frailties of celebrities, Howard has become "Mr. Showbiz" as he curries favor with those stars he used to make fun of.

Howard is the breadwinner and should be pampered when he gets home from a hard days work at his radio show. Is the 3 days a week that he does the show too much to ask of her?

Sometimes her dog related advice is far fetched. She has mentioned a dog therapist in the past. The general public does not have the means to afford a pet therapist. This out of touch thinking resonates in a negative way with John Q public. It represents an elitist and entitled attitude from someone who probably does not deserve to feel that way.
