That long list is great and she's right he's been good in almost everything - but these are my favorite (mostly) slightly more obscure ones.

The Man Who Cried:

Absolutely gorgeous film. A bit slow moving but so worth it. The music is especially just perfect. It's set mostly in early WWII Paris. Also stars Christina Ricci and Cate Blanchette.

LA Without a Map:

Finally available on DVD - yay!!!! Fun quirky little film about a Scottish undertaker (the gorgeous and extremely talented "tall skinny Scottish bloke", David Tennant) who leaves the depressing family business back home to become a writer in LA (and to follow a girl). He's a bit clueless but meets many strange and wonderful characters, all the while having a deep philosophical relationship with a movie poster. (Johnny Depp) Worth the price of admission just to see David Tennant and Johnny Depp on the same screen as far as I'm concerned.

Benny and Joon:

Come on - what's not to love about this one. Johnny Depp as a slightly mentally off Buster Keaton impersonator falling in love with an equally crazy girl. "Raisins - humiliated grapes really." So fun!

Finding Neverland:

So sweet. Depp as JM Barrie, falling in love with Kate Winslett and hanging out with Thomas Sangster. What could be better?
