NEIL PEART...palms DOWN! to no longer take something removed from the others. Peart is a drumming professor, a technician with extreme precision. Bonham became self taught, and performed from the guts, and did one hell of a job of it. They way he stored a 4/4 time over a wierd meter mutually with in Kashmir blows my concepts. Moon became a finished spas, a kit of pent up frightened skill purely waiting to be released. it incredibly is been pronounced that it incredibly is bodily impossible to to have as many beats in line with 2nd happening as he did, yet by some potential he did it. the key is ALL 3 are, or have been proper for the bands they are customary for, so all 3 are super. yet i nonetheless choose Peart the main.

Well the best WHO drummer was clearly Keith Moon...

Technically he was a very good drummer too!

(kept his drum kit disturbingly 'flat' and had a correspondingly odd grip on his sticks... but a very good drummer)

The best ROCK drum solo though has to go to Ian Paice of DEep Purple though ... The Mule on Made In Japan is superb!

unlike everybody else , i will answer the question you asked.(why people can't answer the question ,instead of adding extra names baffles me.If you don't like the options ,don't answer! duh!)

The most 'wild' drummer was without a doubt Mr Moon but it is very difficult to choose between the three as they put their own flavour on any track by the who,led zepplin and cream(& blind faith, air force etc) The sad thing is that only one of them is still alive. All three would be in my top ten drummers but i always admired Keith's ability to 'fill in the gaps' and play almost as a lead instrument instead of purely rhythm.

For sheer power ,Bonzo is hard to beat but Ginger may have been the most innovative. I don't know ,I've confused myself now . lol.

Love 'em all.

Gene Krupa.
