Please don't say 'They broke up because of Yoko Ono.'
I want to know why, what did she do, or not do, ect. If it was even her who split them.
Thank you.

The Beatles started in 1956 as a group formed by John Lennon and his school friends called The Quarrymen(named after the school all of the members attended).in July of 1957,Paul McCartney(at the urging of his friend and Quarrymen member,Ivan Vaughn, who told him it was a good place to pick up girls)went to the Woolton Village Fete to see the group play, after the show Paul played guitar backstage(the song in question being 20 Flight Rock)and the members were impressed for 2 reasons:1.Paul could tune a guitar(they had to go to a music pro on Kings Road to get theirs tuned)and 2.Paul actually knew the words,on the strength of these 2 things Paul was asked to join the band.In 1958,Paul brought in his friend,15 year old George Harrison to join the bad. However by 1959,pretty much all of the Quarrymen had left the group, just leaving John,Paul, and George. The group did acquire a new bass player in John's art school friend,Stu Sutcliffe(he was persuaded to spend the money he had won in an art competiton on a bass guitar). The lasting impression that Sutcliffe left was that it was he(along with John)inspired by Buddy Holly's group,The Crickets changed to The Beatles. The 1st variations of this name change(their friends advised them against the name change) was seen in May of 1960,at an audition for Larry Parnes to be the backup group for Billy Fury. After going through several variations of the Beatles name(as well as several drummers),in August of 1960(before going to Hamburg)after acquring Pete Best as their "permanent"drummer, they started going by The Beatles,it was during this 1st trip that The Beatles became friendly with Ringo Starr, the drummer of The Hurricanes. It was during one of The Beatles early trips to Hamburg(1961)that Stu left the group and Paul became the bass player.Throughout 1961,The Beatles were still frindly with Ringo Starr and in fact during that year and even in 1962,Ringo would actually sub for Pete for various reasons. Finally in August of 1962(in what some fans call a shameful act)Pete was let go and Ringo was brought in,thus cementing the now familiar Beatles line up.

As you can see it got best answer.

Now for the simple reason why The Beatles broke up:They broke up due a dispute between Lennon and McCartney, everyone else involved in the breakup(George,Ringo,The Eastmans,Yoko Ono,Allen Klein, and even Phil Spector)was caught in the middle!

Well they formed in 1957 when John Lennon made this band called The Quarrymen with some of his friends from school which eventually evolved into The Beatles. Paul Mccartney joined, then George Harrison and then Ringo Starr.

As for how they broke up it wasn't just because of Yoko Ono, there were other things like difficulty in collaboration and when George Harrison turned out to be a good songwriter most of his ideas were rejected which made him resentful towards the rest of the group Lennon and Mccartney in particular. The thing with Yoko was that John had met her and started spending a lot of time with her as just friends but then they made an album together I think and started an affair while John's wife was away on holiday. Then John invited her to spend a lot of time in the studio with them even though they'd all agreed that no one's wives or girlfriends should be allowed into the studio. He decided that she should be allowed to have an input to the bands recordings and she would make comments and stuff which just created more tension between her and the other bandmates.

I think the band just sort of drifted apart by themselves but I think it was John Lennon who officially left the band first and then Paul Mccartney left but he'd tried to keep them together but i guess he just decided it wouldnt work anymore. They broke up in 1970.

Ok I know some stuff about the beatles alot. Ok they all were together al the those years hidding together from fans everywhere.I heard this in a george intervew anyway . John and paul went to school together and john was in a band called the quarrymen. Paul played a guitar and they were friends and they started playing together . paul was friends with george and brought him along soon after. Stuart sutcliff was a friend of johns who was in the band for a short time And more of an artist than a musiacian and was more interested in that he was with them at first and so was the first drumer pete best. Staurd died from a brain hemorage brought on by a street fight the guys got in a couple months before. they couldnt use pete best for the drummer even though he was a good looking guy . He sucked at the drumms and when they needed to record they needed someone that really could play so the asked they're old school budy ringo . Who already played in a band to join. Ok so anyway they pretty much grew up together from mid to late teens untill they're late twenties. They where like michael jackson every where they went . mobbed all the time by fans. They were so talented and rich they all grew up into different people without really relying on the beatles name for there money anymore .They all had sucsesful carrers afterwords to prove it and they all wanted to put more of there oun stuff on albums like george was only aloud 2-3 songs an album. They did'nt write together like they used to towards the end .They just kind of used each other in the studios to to proform each others songs. And here's the kicker Paul was being a bossy asshole yes while john was all involved with yoko she was even in the studio sitting there with him while recording. But it was peace and love love love times .make love not war. I dont think thats all how it ended .It was not all yoko. It was they just grew up into there oun people and the Youthfull sparks were'nt there like when they were younger . They had everything in life they needed. They were all married and had kids it was time for family not so much the beatles abnymore.John says in one of his solo songs about his son sean. The song beautiful boy. He sayes life is what happens to you while your busy making other plans. Hey what the hell its not like they would ever struggle financially again in life. They just grew up....oh yeah and john and yoko did'nt pull the first solo.it was paul ram thats why john came out with an album i think holding a pigs ears mocking that album with pauls holding a rams horns. Paul started his **** first. Ram is a great album though .jonhs solo carrer was awesome to so .I think his songs made more of an impact on the world than pauls solo's .I think there worth more in substannce.
